The Decatur Park District has been committed to Penguin in the Park since its first year. Half of the proceeds from the race go go support youth athletic programs at the Decatur Indoor Sports Center.

Staley Credit Union has been committed to Penguin in the Park since the 1st year.  As a result, Staley Credit Union was the recipient of the Dora Maxwell Community Award from the Illinois Credit Union League.
